Nick Vujicic
Biography
Nick was born on 4th December 1982 in Brisbane to a family of Serbian immigrants and had a rare pathology: the boy had no limbs — both hands and both feet (partially he had one foot with two fingers, which allowed the boy to learn to walk, swim, skate, play on the computer and write).
Despite physical disabilities, the boy was born healthy and, once Victoria's law changed, the parents insisted that their son began attending regular school.
In 1990, strongly worrying about his physical disabilities, the boy tried to commit suicide, but eventually realized that his achievements in life can inspire others. He began to learn simple things: learned to write with two fingers on his left foot, learned to brush his teeth, shave, comb, answer the phone and print on the computer. In the seventh grade, the boy became the head of the class, participated in fundraising campaigns.
Since 1999 he began to speak to his Church group and soon opened a non-profit organization "Life without limbs" (eng. Life without Limbs), becoming a motivational speaker.
In 2005, Nick Vujic was nominated for 'the Young Australian of the Year' award.
In 2009, he starred in the film "The Butterfly Circus" ("the Butterfly Circus"), which tells about a man without limbs, about his will and his fate.
He has travelled to more than 24 countries, speaking at schools, universities and other organizations. He's on TV and he's writing books. His first book was published in 2010.
Currently he lives in California, USA.
On the 12th February, 2012, he married Kanae Miyahara.
On February 15, 2013, Nick's son Kiyoshi Vujic was born.
Announcing the birth of Kiyoshi, Nick said, "Thank You, Jesus!"
