My favorite book is "The adventures of Thomas Sawyer and
Huckleberry Finn" written by a famous American writer Mark
Twain. And although this book is children's adventure book, adults can
read it with great interest too. This novel shows the ordinary
life of a small town in the American South before the Civil war. The heroes
are: a naughty boy Tom Sawyer and his friends Huckleberry Finn and
beautiful Becky and also terrible and cruel Injun Joe, and, of course,
a good-natured, aunt Polly, and many others. Like all boys of this age,
they don't really want to go to school, where strict teachers punish the guilty
students because at that time there were allowed any physical punishment. The
boys are looking for adventures and love the dangers. Poor aunt Polly does not
have time to look after these pranksters. They are always in motion, and thee
invent different games and get into different situations. The book is funny and
very interesting, I am very glad that we have a Polish version now, and I
advise everyone to read this novel.
