<span>A proverb
says: "Friendless
is poor".
In my
opinion, it
is absolutely
true. As
far as
I know,
people feel
unhappy, if
they don't
have somebody
at their
side to
share thoughts
and feelings
with.
We
are very
social. Though
we are
surrounded by
lots of
other people
in our
everyday life,
we still
feel lonely
because we
need somebody
who will
understand us
and support
us. We
look for
a soul
mate. Nobody
can live
a happy
life without
good friends.
So
friendship is
extremely important
for everybody.
A friend
is somebody
who you
love. You
care about
your friends
and think
about them
when they
are not
there. You
know that
if you
have a
problem, they
are there
to listen
to you
and help
you.
We
are friendly
with many
different people,
but a
true friend
is someone
that everybody
dreams of
and wants
to have.
And I
believe that
most people
have such
a friend
or even
a few.
People call
them best
friends. I
think that
best friends
are loyal,
caring, supportive
and helpful.
We always
need somebody
around to
find sympathy
and support.
To
feel more
confident in
life, we
need to
be sure
that there
is always
somebody around
who will
give us
a hand
in a
difficult or
delicate situation.
That
is why
people start
looking for
friends immediately
from their
early age.
And lucky
are those
who have
such friends
at every
stage of
their life.
I also
think that
friendship must
be fair.
I mean
that in
friendship you
shouldn't
just take
what you
want from
your friend,
but you
should also
be able
to give.
This idea
is nicely
put in
the proverb
'The way
to have
a friend
is to
be one'.
Those who
can't
give are
most unlikely
to have
a best
friend.
I can
say that
I'm
lucky to
have such
a friend.
