In my opinion cinema is more popular then theatre, because in cinema people can watch films, which are cult. And if you can discuss new part or "Spider man" with your friends teenagers, but you can't discuss new play from the theatre just because not all pleaces have a theatre and theatre more expensive than cinema.
But I can say that theatre more intellectual, you learn more and it need more time than cinema.
I could say that all of this need imagination but its isn't.
And sometimes cinema can be more entertaining because theatre have more rules.
And cinema have more audience than theatre.
