Kiev — the capital of our country, a very great and most ancient city on the banks of the Dnieper. From the "Tale of bygone years" I know the legend about the founding of Kiev by three brothers Kyi, Schek and Khoriv and their sister Lybid on the hill above the Dnieper river, now called old Kiev. On the first day of stay in Kiev, I am convinced that it is a city with developed industry, modern residential quarters, historical monuments amazing. My aunt and uncle for a whole week introduced me to this remarkable city. Where I just visited: on Independence square, in Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, the Botanical garden, Hydropark, at ENEA, and even ridden on a gondola. I admire St. Sophia Cathedral, founded by Yaroslav the Wise, walked through Mariinsky Park, where the residence of the President of Ukraine Mariyinsky Palace, and nearby is the Parliament building.

But most of all I liked the capital. A walk along this famous street, we went on a Sunday, this day was especially crowded. There I saw the show mimes, watched the contest, youth dance, saw the shooting of TV program "Karaoke on the Maidan".
