Добившись политической независимости Казахстан стал демократической Республикой с президентской формой правления. Президент избирается. Верховный Суд является высшим судебным органом по гражданским и уголовным делам. Управление конституционных законов осуществляет Конституционный совет, который состоит из 7 членов и избирается сроком на 6 лет
