Maslenitsa Festival is celebrated at the beginning of the spring. People say goodbye to the winter and welcome and greet the spring. People usually make an ugly straw figure which symbolizes the winter. Then this figure is burnt, people sing and dance in a ring, have fun, eat pancakes, drink hot tea and ask the spring to come faster. Maslenitsa Festival has been celebrated in towns and cities for hundreds of years.
I went to Russia and buy one interesting souvenir - It’s matreshka! I like toys which can changing their form. Matreshka is not only one figure - inside it are the same smaller figures, it’s like “box in the box”. It’s colorized in the old Russian style. I want to buy another souvenirs in the Russia!
