I’m fond of sports since childhood. Sport helps me to be healthy and strong. My favorite sport is football. My friends and I often play football in the yard. I also like watching football on TV and observe the game of professional athletes. One of my favorite players - this is David Beckham. He is extremely talented athlete. I think that he is the one of the greatest football players in the world though he had already finished his football career. David Beckham was born 2 May 1975 in Leytonstone, London, England. He grew up in an ordinary family of a hairdresser and a kitchen fitter. He has an older sister and a younger sister. As a child he regularly played football in Ridgeway Park and other football schools in London. Beckham's professional club career began with Manchester United, where he made his first-team debut in 1992 aged 17.
I have always admired his tenacity and will to win, as well as the ability to play the team game. He is known for his range of passing, crossing ability and bending free-kicks. He was twice runner-up for FIFA World Player of the year and in 2004 he was named in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players. He seems to be not only talented but also a strong-willed guy.
David is the man of means. But the some part of his fortune he gives to charity. A lot of time he devotes to social activities and work with children. I think that David Beckham is not only a great footballer, but also a good person.
