The girl is sitting on a chair. She is drawing or writing something. She looks like a pupil. She wears checkered dress. I like the picture because she is learning something new. This is always fun to learn new things.
Agatha Christie was the author of 78 mystery novels and 19 plays. Ever since her first novel “The Mysterious Affairs at Styles” published in 1930, her books never were out of print. They translated all over the world and perhaps surprisingly her sales actually increased since she died in 1976. By 1990 two immensely successful films “Death on the Nile” and “Murder on the Orient Express” made, the television series of which followed them a year later.
People enjoed) Agatha Christie’s story telling for many years and now her popularity seemed higher than it used to be. It was not of course the first time, that the author became more popular in death than in life.
