New Year is the most popular holiday in my famaly. At the beginning of December everybody has a festive mood. In the city the streets and shop windows are decorated with bright garlands. A huge Christmas tree is put at the main square. We begin to prepare for the holiday. We buy Christmas-tree decorations. We also buy gifts for relatives and friends. We usaly celebrate New Year sitting around the table and having dinner. Later in the night we walk otside and make fireworks. I like this holidsy very much.

Wendy (1) <u>was doing</u>/did the dishes when she heard a scream. She ran to the window to see what happened. While she (4) <u>was walking</u>/walked to the front door, she picked up her mobile phone. She was ready to call the police if something terrible happened. When her neighbour (7) <u>opened</u>/was opening the door, Wеndy saw what was happening. Her neighbour (8) watched/<u>was watching</u> a flimsy angry the screams were coming from the TV!

Жила была снежная королева и жила бы она спокойно, но ей вздумалось узнать что такое лето. Прочитала снешная королева про то что есть жаркие страны где есть лето круглый год и отправилась туда она на северных оленях. Олени на пол пути изжарились и изнемогая упали. Снежная королева хотела их преободрить на путь пока ещё далёкий но не смогла и продолжила путишествие в одиночку. Преодалела много трудностей она и увидела долгожданное лето и растяла тут же.
