Music has always been one of the major joys of human society. People like hearing melodic sounds that come thanks to mixture of various musical instruments. It includes the piano, the guitar, the drums, the violin, the cello, etc.
One of my favourite sounds is the music produced by the guitar. Although I don't play it professionally, I can easily play a couple of interesting pieces, which I was taught as a child. Other than that I learned how to play the piano and one specific stringed instrument. However, in my opinion guitar is one of the most harmonious instruments I've ever heard or seen.
Even its outer shape looks harmonious. Many outstanding musicians became famous thanks to their professional guitars. At the moment the guitars of such musicians as Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, John Lennon are considered to be as expensive as many other treasures on our planet.
The history of this instrument is rather old. It goes back to ancient times. It is at least five thousand years old. However in India and Central Asia it was known as the “sitara”. The word “guitarra” has Spanish roots and it appeared in the English speaking world at medieval times, to be precise in the seventeenth century. Nowadays there are a few types of guitar, apart from the classical one. It has become one of the lead items in most existing genres of music, such as pop, rock, punk. It is especially handy when playing the Spanish flamenco. I have once been present at such concert and I should confess I've enjoyed it. Modern flamenco is one of the best art-forms that can fully transfer the melodic soul and sound of the guitar. That's why I like and recommend it.

<span><span>My Favourite CartoonМой любимый мультфильм</span><span>My name is Ilya. I’m 13 years old. I’ve been fond of cartoons from the very childhood and I still like watching some of them. I think, cartoons entertain us and keep us busy for some time, which is good for our parents. My parents also like cartoons. They sometimes watch them with me. My favourite cartoon is “Tom and Jerry”. It’s not too childish, so people of all ages can watch it. The main characters of this cartoon are the cat Tom and the mouse Jerry. Each time Tom sees Jerry, he tries to catch him, but unsuccessfully. Jerry is a little, smart mouse. He gets away with any prank. The reason, why I like this cartoon more than others, is its kind and funny plot. Each time I watch it, it makes me smile and laugh, so good mood for the day is provided. When I was younger, I also watched “Tom and Jerry”. Knowing that I’m fond of this cartoon, my mum often bought me various thematic items. For example, a plate or a T-shirt with Tom and Jerry picture. I can’t say I liked Tom’s character more than Jerry’s, or vice versa. I liked both these characters, as they were good in their own way. Tom often gets in stupid situations while chasing a tricky mouse and that makes me feel sorry for him. Jerry’s mission is not to get caught, because if he does, the cat will probably eat him. So, when I watch the series of this cartoon, I worry about both characters at the same extent. I’m sure I’m not the only child, who likes “Tom and Jerry”. Millions of kids across the world watch this cartoon. Due to its popularity, it has been translated into many languages.<span>Меня зовут Илья. Мне 13 лет.
