Last Thursday our class went to France for the day. I got to get up early. Mom made sandwiches. I came home at eight o'clock. Dad took me to the station by car. When we arrived at the station, the master said, " have you all got your passports?" I said, " yeah, look in my bag, but my passport is not there. Dad said take me home, but I can't find my passport. Then I was told to find it. It was in my pocket! We brought the disk back to the station very quickly. Police said, " stop the US. He gave the Pope etiquette for speeding. Dad talked to miss his train to work, but we went to catch our train to Dover. We have a great time in France. We have made many interesting and we saw beautiful things on the market. I bought dad a great gift, but he wasn't very friendly to me.
I have a very good friend. His (her) name is ... Friends are very important in our life. I think one cannot live without friends. The most important thing for being good friends, to my mind, is to be ready to help one another in any situation, nevertheless how difficult it is, to support one another and to solve all the problems together. And never mind, that the friends may have different interests and hobbies, different likes and dislikes. They say that the friend in need is a friend indeed. I think it is really so.My friend and I always do our best to help one another. We discuss all our troubles and try to find the best decision in any situation. My friend is a very good, kind and clever boy (girl). We often spend our free time together. It is not very easy now, because both of us are very busy — we are going to enter institutes and have a lot of work to do.My friend is going to become a doctor (a teacher, an engineer, a lawyer). Our future professions are different (the same) and the subjects we have to study are different (the same) too, but (and) we like to work together and to help one another in our study. When we have some free time, we go for walks, read and discuss books, watch films, go to discos or play computer games. Playing computer games is our hobby. Both of us are fond of sport. We go in for swimming (tennis) and often go to the swimming pool (tennis court) together. We are football fans and we like to watch and discuss football matches on TV or to go to the stadium. I love my friend very much. I think he (she) is a true friend. Our friendship is very dear to me and I try to do my best to be a good friend too.
After each term in school we had our holidays. It's fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don't have to get up too early, do your homework or think of troubles which occur very often at school.
Most of all I liked summer holidays, they were the longest ones, though, when winter was snowy and and frosty, I enjoyed my winter holidays skating and skiing, sledging and making a snowman or having a fight with snowballs.
I'd like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Sochi. It was just three years ago. My parents and me were sitting in the living-room discussing our plans for the summer holidays. My father suggested that we should go to Sochi. On hearing that I jumped up with joy and said it was a wonderful idea. My mother wasn't against the idea either. So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi.
First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives live there and they gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House.
We enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked at the sea. I like Sochi very much, we bathed and went boating and swimming, lay in the sun on the beach. In the evenings we went for a walk or dropped in at a cafe to have ice-cream or juice.
My father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls. The sea was nice and warm. The weather was fine. When it was time to go home, we were sorry to leave the marvellous town of Sochi.
Hello, dear Nicole!
Sorry, I write to you rarely, but I have lots of homework. Sorry...
How are you? I heard that you have new teacher, can you tell me more about him? Jane said, he has just finished the university. Is it truth?
Last weekend I was in museum. It was incredible, I saw the Kuinji's works. You should like it. Maybe we should go there together next holidays?
And, at least, I watched the movie you like so much, you know, what I'm talking about. What do I think about it?
Amazing.
That's my favorite movie now, I think. I'm happy you told me about it.
How do you spend the weekend? Was it fun or you stayed at home again?
Hope to see you soon,
Mary.
