There are a lot of unusual birds in Australia, such as rainbow lorikeet (photo), pink cockatoo, rosella, ibis, pelican, lyrebird (photo).
To my mind the most unusual bird is the rainbow lorikeet because of its bright colour.
There are many of unusual animals in Australia, too, such as kangaroo, koala, giraffe, platypus, echidna and etc. Most of all I like koalas because they are very funny and smart.
