Winter holidays are shorter than summer ones. They begin at the end of December and last about two weeks. It is so nice to have a rest from school.
During winter holidays we celebrate the New Year’s Eve and Christmas. There are New Year parties for children at schools and theatres. Cinemas show children films and cartoons.
It is usually very cold in winter, but frost and snow can’t keep children indoors. It’s so great to go skiing down a hill. Boys like to play hockey on the ice. Many children go to the skating-rinks to skate. Small children play snowballs and make snowmen, or ride on the sledges happily.
When the weather is bad, I stay at home and watch TV. There is always something interesting on during winter holidays. Sometimes my friends come to see me and we play computer games or listen to music. There is also more time for reading, drawing, making model planes and other hobbies.
Holidays pass quickly and soon it’s time to go to school again.
Зимние каникулы короче, чем летние. Они начинаются в конце декабря и продолжаются около двух недель. Это так приятно отдохнуть от школы.
Во время зимних каникул мы празднуем Новый год и Рождество. В школах и театрах проходят новогодние елки для детей. Кинотеатры показывают детям и мультипликационные фильмы.
Зимой обычно очень холодной, но мороз и снег не может держать детей в помещении. Ведь это так здорово покататься на горных лыжах. Мальчики любят играть в хоккей на льду. Многие дети ходят на катки кататься на коньках. Маленькие дети играют в снежки и лепят снеговиков или весело катаются на санях.
Когда погода плохая, я сижу дома и смотрю телевизор. Во время зимних каникул всегда показывают что-то интересное. Иногда мои друзья приходят ко мне и мы играем в компьютерные игры или слушаем музыку. Существует также больше времени для чтения, рисования, изготовления моделей самолетов и других увлечений.
Каникулы проходят быстро и скоро пора идти в школу.
My best friend stydies at school. Her name is Masha. She was ill last week and skipped some lessons of English. Masha asked me to help her with it. She had a lot of questions about English and she wanted me to carry this work thriough. And I did. Masha has gotten a good mark.

All people like and enjoy summer holidays. It is the great time when you can have a rest after the busy year of study or work. Somebody prefers to go abroad, to see different countries, others like to visit their parents or stay at home and visit different museums and cinemas. But, as for me I decided to spent this summer not as usual.I went to the summer camp. It was very amazing place. It lies near the lake and forest. The nature was very beautiful and in the whole it was the magnificent place.
The weather at that time was very nice, the sun is always shined and the sky was without clouds. There were many people almost from the whole country and even from abroad. Of course I have met many friends there and especially it was very interesting to communicate with foreign guys, who told many stories about the ways of life in their states .
In a camp we lived in a small buildings, so it was very interesting to visit our neighbours, especially in the night. Every morning we got up at 9 a.m. We did some physical exercises and after that we have a breakfas. Every day was full of joy and fun. We swam in the lake, lay in the sun, played different games and went boating.Very often there were tournaments, and I took participation in footballmatches.
<span>Sometimes we could go fishing and it was the wonderful time.I remember one day when I with my best friends cought a lot of carps and perches. By the way at that evening we cooked tasty fish soup.Of course i want to say that some days we spent in the forest. There we could enjoy the silence of the nature and listen the songs of diffrent birds. But what is the pleasure to walk near the lake at the time of sunset! In such moments you have unbelivable feelings. </span>
Every evening we gathered together near the fire and told some fun or terrible stories. It was really interesting because our girls were always afraid. After that we went to our buildings and prepared to a sleep. It was the time when we have the great fun because we were alone without our teachers and could do what we wanted. Next day was a new day with its new surprises and imprassions.
<span>In that camp I was about two weeks and I didnt notice when the time flew. It was unforgetable rest, I took many photos. And now I continue my friendship with my new friends, I miss them very much.Of course, I hope that next summer I will go there again.</span>
