Sculpture "the Motherland calls!" the compositional center of the monument-ensemble "to Heroes of Stalingrad battle" on Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd. One of the tallest statues in the world, the highest statue in Russia and Europe (without pedestal — the highest statue in the world at the time of construction for 22 years).
The monument is a Central part of a triptych, which is monument "back front" in Magnitogorsk and "Warrior-liberator" in Berlin's Treptow Park.
