Robin hood was very popular among the people. Proud and independent, he opposed those who are using their position and wealth, cheated and oppressed the common people. But he remained faithful to the king and have not abandoned religion. Among his followers there was even one stray monk-brother. Originally Robin hood was from Loxley, and lived in Sherwood forest.

The main feature of the character of Robin was the generosity, sympathy and intolerance of wealth. I would compare it with the ancient Greek hero Prometheus, who gave fire to people.
