Boxing is a sport in which two people try to hit each other for a certain period of time. This sport originated from fist fighting that was part of the Olympic Games in Ancient Greece. In the 19th century boxing was very popular in England but its "golden age" was in the USA, in the 1920-s and 1930-s.
There are people who think that boxing is a dangerous sport and it should be banned. It is sad that boxers are sometimes hurt so badly that they can't get up from the floor.
