Student: Good morning!
Teacher: Morning! Why aren't you wearing your school uniform today?
Student: What shall I do then?
Teacher: Go back home and get dressed properly!
Student: But I can't, I live very far away and my mum have
washed my school uniform and haven't ironed it yet.
Teacher: That's bad. Let it be the last time you come to school
without the school uniform on!
Student: Ok. Thank you.

Heroes
There are many professions in the world and all of them are important to the community. Occupational choice means not only choosing a job, but doing it according to its values and way of life. One of the most dangerous and heroic professions in the world is a fire fighter.
If you are going to choose this job, you should be aware of all its dangers and responsibilities. They are the people who our lives depend on.
The work of the fire fighter is one of the most heroic and respectful professions. People honour and appreciate those who on the first call go and fight against such a terrible and ruthless enemy as a fire. The fire is an uncontrollable process that destroys everything on its way and, unfortunately, it often takes human lives away. Having tamed the fire, people got not only a helper, but also a guileful enemy that seeks for every little opportunity to show its power and strength. There are professions the results of which are not obvious for others though they are very important. But there are such jobs the results of which can be seen from the beginning, that require courage and bravery, where each moment can become the last one. And this is the fire fighter's work. It is scary to think how many people in our country have been killed by the fire because there was no one to come to help in time. Only fire fighters, no matter what, stand against the fire elements; this is their job and their duty. A coward will not work as a fire fighter, only heroes can do it.
Everyone knows about a terrible tragedy happened on 11th of September, 2001 when two planes controlled by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center Twin Towers. It was the scariest tragedy and grief of the world. I believe there was not a person who would not condole with those people who lost their relatives and close friends. And what heroism fire fighters displayed! These people risked their lives for others, for those who they did not know at all, for those who begged for help in the fire trap. The fire cut the way to its victims to escape from, and the dense pall of smoke didn't allow them to breathe and burned lungs. In a few seconds fire fighters had to take life saving measures forgetting about their own rescue. And among them there were the people who were being waited for by their families at home. There also were those who had not had a family yet, but their only thought was to save others. They managed to save lots of people and lead them out of this inferno, but were blocked with burning beams and died overtaken by the flame. Hundreds of fire fighters never got back home that day. And all of them are posthumously awarded for courage. They performed the human duty, the duty of honour.
Choosing this profession, they knew what they would face. People who devoted heart and soul to their work are special. I think that the height of a human feat is defined by the power of this love of life, and the greater this love is, the more inconceivable is to measure the deed made for the sake of this love of life. I deeply admire and respect such people and value their spirit and steadfastness in their hard work. And only one word is good enough to describe these people – heroes!
