Nearly a quarter of a century has passed since this book first
(was published). During this period several hundred thousand copies of the

twenty-fifth anniversary is so important an occasion that it
(is commemorated) with the publication of the new edition, which is throughly

Another innovation is that a list of irregular verbs in everyday use
(have been introduced). These verbs are intentionally (placed) as endpapers for easy
