New Year is one of my favorite holidays. This is not surprising, because it is filled with joy, magic and fun. At this time, we always wait for something special, some kind of miracle. Sometimes miracles do happen.
I celebrated this New Year in the family circle. In the big room we had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. At the top was a big beautiful red star she was shining. We dressed her on the eve all together: I, mom, dad and sister. It was without controversy, but in the end she came out very beautiful.
Mom prepared a festive table. She did it perfectly. All the dishes were delicious, beautiful and unusual. We helped her, were, so to speak, in the catch. My mother baked a chicken with apples and sauce, made some new salads, even baked pies. I love it when there are so many delicacies in the house.
My mother's brother came to visit us with his family and the holiday became even more cheerful. We joked, laughed and talked, and when the chimes began to strike, everyone fell silent for a time, making wishes for next year. After that, salutes started from all sides, and we went to the street. The sky was lit up with multicolored flashes, a revival and a merry fuss reigned around. I came up with the idea to build a snowman. And my brother and I got down to business. The others, not thinking twice, joined us. Together they built up an entire family.
After getting home, we sat for a while at the table and my parents sent us to sleep. Frankly, I did not want to sleep at all.
In the morning of January 1, my sister and I immediately rushed under the tree. There we were waiting for beautifully packed boxes.
New Year is a wonderful holiday.
