Она пришла. – Она не пришла.</span><span>2. Когда глагол be (is, am, are, was, were) является главным глаголом в предложении, отрицательная частица ставится после него:</span><span>She is not ready.
Она не готова.
You are not late.
Ты не опоздал.
I was not surprised.
Я не был удивлен.</span><span>3. Когда глагол have является главным глаголом в предложении, перед ним ставится вспомогательный глагол do (в соответствующей форме) с отрицательной частицей:</span><span>They have a car. – They do not have a car.
У них есть машина. – У них нет машины.
He has a good job. – He does not have a good job.
У него есть хорошая работа. – У него нет хорошей работы.</span><span>4. Помимо отрицательной частицы not, отрицание может выражаться другими отрицательными словами:</span><span>He is not at home.
Его нет дома.
He is never at home.
Его никогда не бывает дома.
He is seldom / rarely / hardly ever at home.
</span><span>Он редко / почти никогда / едва бывает дома.</span><span>Отрицательное предложение в английском языке образуется путем добавления отрицательной частицы not после вспомогательного глагола:</span><span>I do not smoke.
Я не курю.
He did not smoke.
Он не курил.
They are not expected to come.
Не ожидается, что они придут.
They have not been invited.
Их не приглашали.
She has not come.
Она не пришла.

</span>Для превосходных односложных степеней добавляется окончание est, для многосложных - the most перед словом (кроме исключений).
