First
of all I should say that my family is not large. I am the only child in my
family and I live with my parents and
granny. I also have a lot of other relatives: uncles, aunts, cousins. But, unfortunately, they live a very long way away from here.
And
some words about our family atmosphere. Perhaps, there are families where
members don’t get on or don’t understand each other. This is not about my
family. We get on well and are devoted to each other.
It is important to note that in Russia there are a lot of
different family cultural traditions. For example, it’s very popular to celebrate countrywide holidays (the New
Year Day), family events (birthdays, weddings, additions of the family). Families often make journeys, go for walks together. As Orthodoxy is spread more than any other religion in
Russia we celebrate Eastern Orthodox holidays such as Easter, Christmas. As many other families we like to spend time
together watching TV, going for a walk, having dinner and so on.
I need
hardly say
that we appreciate trust, understanding, care about each other in our family.
It is well known that a family is a cradle of
life and love, the place where you feel especially safe and perfect. What does
my family mean for me? Firstly, my family is my support and fortress. They are
always with me. I can always rely on them. Secondly, my family are loving
people who will be gratified by my success and achievement and share the sorrowof
my failure. Thirdly, my family is the place where I will eagerly come back . My
nearest and dearest always love and wait for me. Family is the main thing in everybody’s life. Family is life!
