1. В Советском Союзе много больших рек: Волга, Днепр, Лена и другие. 2. Днепр уже Лены. Но это самая широкая и самая красивая река иа Украине. 3. Каждый год я проводил отпуск в Крыму, но на будущий год я поеду в дом отдыха на Волге. 4. Муж моей сестры не ездит летом на Кавказ, там слишком жарко для него. Он любит отды хать на Балтийском море. 5. На будущий год наши студенты поедут иа Урал. 6. Где больше рек: в западной части Советского Союза или в восточной части? 7. На севе ре нашей страны лесов больше, чем на юге. 8. Когда мы путешествовали в горах в прошлом году, мы встретили там человека, которому было более (over) ста лет. 9. Это место славится прекрасными озерами и свежим горным возду хом. 10. Вы полетите туда самолетом или поедете поездом? — Я поеду поездом, хотя это и займет у меня несколько дней. Я плохо себя чувствую в самолете (когда я лечу самолетом). 11. Когда мы путешествовали по Сибири в прошлом году, мы провели в Новосибирске несколько дней. Это однн из лучших городов Сибири.

2. The Dnieper river is narrower than the Lena. But it is the widest and the most beautiful river in Ukraine.

4. My sister's husband doesn't go to the Caucasus in summer, it's too hot for him there. He likes to have rest on the Baltic sea.
5. Our students will go to the Urals next year.
6. Where are more rivers, in the Western or the Eastern part of the Soviet Union?
7. In the Northern part of our country there are more forests (woods) than in the Southern part.
8. Last year during we were travelling in the mountains, we met the man who was more than a hundred years old.  
9. This place is famous for its beautiful lakes and fresh mountain air.
10. Will you fly there by plane or go by train? I'm going by train although it will take me a few days. I feel bad when I'm flying by plane.
11. When we travelled around Siberia last year, we spent a few days in Novosibirsk. It's one of the best cities in Siberia.
