was born in Poland in 1867. Her mother died in 1877. So Marie had to work as a
tutor. She

sister who was studying medicine in Paris. Soon Marie also moved to France to

Physics. There she got her Master's degree in two subjects. When Marie was
studying
(4) magnetism she
met he future husband Pierre. They started research into radium and polonium

years' work they won a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903. In 1906 Pierre Curie
died and Marie felt
