"Has the cat got your tongue?"- это что-то вроде: Ты воды в рот набрал? Ты язык проглотил? Ситуация: I and my friend are walking around my grandma's garden. We had a conversation about our homework. Then, I noticed the most beautiful creature i ever saw. It was a butterfly. Her wings were as colorful as a rainbow. I watched it flying around, not saying anything to my friend. I was stunned by it's beauty. I couldn't move or say a word. My friend kept talking, but then he said, "(твоё или ещё какое-нибудь имя), something's wrong?" I didn't answer, i watched butterfly landing on a flower. My friend, with a worried look on his face, said,"What happened,(имя)? Are you feeling down?"Again, i said nothing, but i smiled. My friend, noticing the smile, said," Has the cat got your tongue?"Then, we both smiled. After we looked at each other, we couldn't help it, we started to laugh. We laughed so hard, our faces turned red. When we actually stopped, we had to return home to do our homework.

The schools were early adopters of cricket caps: Eton (light blue) and Winchester (blue) in 1851, and Harrow (striped) in 1852.
Насколько я поняла это public schools in UK, usually for boys because these schools are competitors in cricket (traditional British game).
