The knowledge day! This is a Russian holiday, when students go to the next level – next class. It celebrates on 1st of September. This festival is for students and teachers.
Before the knowledge day all pupils buy some flowers for their teacher. Teachers think about lessons after summer holidays (what will they teach).
On this day students don’t study, but they have celebration in the street. And after it children go to their classes, offer flowers for teachers, sit on their chairs and have first class meeting. At home some families have a special dinner, after it parents offer presents for their children – pupils.
