I didn't see anybody at the stadium. I saw nobody at the stadium
1. Was
mу colleague looking at our new secretary all the time during lunch?
2. Were our programmers checking a file at that time?
3. Were you taking a train to Brest at 11 o'clock yesterday?
4. Were you speaking English to your new friends from 7 till 9 o'clock
yesterday?
5. Were these children playing rugby the whole day yesterday?
6. Was my aunt reading this book all night long?
7. Was my sister translating this article all day long yesterday?
8. Was this old man still staying at home all the time in summer?
9. Were our parents going to help the old man at that time?

Yes, I prefer spending time with my family. Usually, we are going to the cinemas, watching new films together or going to the park, and making a picnic with our friends. I think spending time with parents, it most wonderful time.. Because parents are our closest humans, and closest friends...
Products
in supermarkets these days are so 1) .......(beautifully) presented:
bread is wrapped in a plastic bag, biscuits in cardboard boxes, apples
on plastic trays. Have you ever bought a product simply because you
liked the way it looked? Ask yourself what is more important - the
contents or the 2)........... (wraping)!
Yes, we do need packaging. It
preserves goods, protects them against damage and makes them 3).......
(presentable) to consumers. But there is a high price to pay. Did you know
that anything between 10 - 50 % of the price of food today is down to
its packaging? Or that packaging makes up 32% of the total weight of
solid waste? This is bad news as most packaging is not 4) ..........
(recycled), but dumped in landfills or burnt. This results in more
5)............(pollution), in addition to the pollution caused by the
manufacture and 6) .............(transportation) of packaging in the first
place!
7)................(thankfully), supermarkets are now working to
cut back. As packages become smaller and lighter, less energy is needed
to transport them. Lighter packaging means less waste. However, there is
still a long way to go!
So, what's all this got to do with you, the
consumer? Well, don't buy 8).......(products) simply because of the way
they look! Instead...
• Choose products that use minimal packaging or
'green' packaging that is 9)........ (reusable) e.g. glass jars for
storing things in, recyclable (look for the recycling symbol!) or
biodegradable.
• Avoid individually wrapped foods. Buy in bulk, not in small 10)........(packs)!
•
Choose products that come in concentrated form, such as
11).......(washing) powders and fabric softeners, or those that do more
than one thing, like shampoo and 12) ......... (conditioner) in one.
• Take cloth bags to the supermarket instead of asking for more plastic bags, which take around 400 years to break down!
•
When large products are delivered to your home, ask
13).......(the manufacturer) to take back the packaging (bubble wrap, boxes,
etc) so they can reuse it.
Do we need
exams? Of course, yes! The exam tests how we have mastered the material, how we
do sums, how we have learned to write essays, if we know the basic historical
dates, how we have learned to live safely, if we know the continents and the
continents and etc. What are the test
exams? In my opinion, it’s a waste of time. Sometimes someone just gets
lucky, and he answers correctly. And sometimes he is out of luck. Tests may be
solved without straining, just random. And it is bad, of course. I think the exam
should not be a test. However, many smart people cannot pass their exams. Why?
There are many reasons, and they are different. Often a person is formed only
in the area where he is famous, and he knows everything about this science.
Thus, the smartest physicists may not know the foreign languages or poorly
verse in literature. And vice versa. Sometimes a person is smart, but it does
not mean that he is educated. These are different things. As for the exams, I
prefer to take exams orally, because I have more opportunities to show my
knowledge, looking into the eyes of my teacher- examinator.
